C. D. "Chuck" Klotz
Chuck Klotz established CD Private Investigations, LLC (CDPI) in January 2007 and works regularly with Henry B. Morgan Consulting. Chuck is based in the Ballentine area of South Carolina; CDPI is a veteran-owned company. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has licensed CDPI.
The primary business focus is corporate related investigations and investigative support to the legal community concerning trial preparation. Corporate related investigations are such items as employee interviews, research of current company employee practices to verify consistency with company policy. Chuck has also taken an interest in data analysis. Spreadsheet analysis of telephone records to learn about the behavior patterns of the subscriber is an example of data analysis. In the recent past CDPI contracted to provide instruction on organizational change within a federal agency. CDPI and several other subcontractors provided instruction to approximately 30,000 employees of the agency. CDPI has the willingness and capability to do business throughout the Continental United States and many parts of the world through Mr. Klotz's membership in good standing with the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI, Inc. (Society) and the contacts provided through the Society. CDPI gets the task done correctly and on time due in part to FBI training, experience, and the ability to collaborate when needed with former FBI agents located throughout the world. Mr. Klotz holds a valid US passport and is willing to travel for short terms. He is a Notary Public as well as a US Army veteran.
Prior to forming his company and working with Henry B. Morgan Consulting, Mr. Klotz worked three years in the Special Investigation Unit of a large automobile insurer.
Chuck was responsible for company fraud investigations throughout the entire state of South Carolina. Chuck interviewed approximately 3,000 people in connection with suspected insurance fraud activities. Chuck regularly travelled to accident scenes where he photographed the location and interviewed many who could provide leads to the facts surrounding events on the date of the accident.
Mr. Klotz retired from the FBI with nearly 35 years of federal government service including service with US Army Military Intelligence. He began his FBI career as a support employee. While working for the FBI, Mr. Klotz attended The American University, Washington, DC in the evenings. During the daytime, Chuck conducted FBI tours of its headquarters and assisted FBI executives. He earned a BS degree in Administration of Justice from The American University and a MS in Government from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, Illinois. The FBI later appointed Chuck as a Special Agent. He first served in the Washington, DC Field Office. The FBI selected Chuck to be a FBI Headquarters supervisor, a position served until offered a preference transfer to the FBI Columbia, SC Field Office. Chuck's work in the FBI resulted in National and International assignments and numerous convictions.
